In case you haven't heard, I've been working on a new class, psywarrior, that is sort of the bard or paladin of the psionic world. It is a mix of casting and melee that will soon be open to a few more testers (there are currently two who have graciously helped me make the class actually work - because of power points, etc. there was a lot of non-functioning at first). I have a few more powers to code but i should be ready for 2-3 more people within the next couple of days. If you're interested, please send me a mudmail or PM. A few have already expressed interest, too, but please make sure you still want to, keeping in mind that balance and mechanics may change during testing. If that sort of thing drives you crazy, I'd recommend waiting until the class is finalized and open to all. If you want to know more about the class, check out help psywarrior. Very Happy

Part 2: psions, my babies, you haven't been forgotten. Part of the reason for coding psywarriors first was to work out kinks in the new power point mechanics. There are many changes coming for psions, including power points, spontaneous casting, and more separation between the disciplines. In addition to choosing your powers (many more will be coded) through the master command, you will also get give discipline-specific powers (at levels 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9). I'm really excited about the changes and hope they will make psions muc Mir viable and fun to play. With all these changes comes great potential to break players, so i wanted to make sure i had things working before messing with a live class. As soon as i finish coding psywarriors, you're up!
