Jarek found himself magically within the context of the gaes, and had hoped that as he met those that would serve this group - the Rooks - would at least not be complete butchers, and would at least act in an honorable manner as it relates to what will be required.

Immediately, it became apparent that the personalities would be widely different, and that if not given lead it would lend to chaos, so, he carefully worked through the missions around Offestrey hoping that the man known as Dehaka who was obviously trying to be leader despite his complete inability to do so... would give his approval for him to do so.

Surprisingly, after he led the defense of Offestrey, and the question came up, "Who is the leader of the group?" - Dehaka would agree, and so he took the position and guided the group out of Offestrey and into the Tabor area - which seemed to quickly embroiled in mischief and plotting.

The missions in Offestrey, which were over protecting caravan shipments, turned out a far bigger plot of a plighted homeland, refugees, powerful magic and evil. The needless murder and killing pushed Jarek to push harder to find a way to bring order to the situation - and so he drove the Rooks harder to collect information.

Soon, others within the group began gaining prominence in the group and his leadership was surpassed by another named Tukiko. His drive for leadership pushed him to try and regain leadership, but, he was okay letting it be held by at least someone who would not drive the group to evilness, and he constantly gained prominence in the group and kept an eye on those he didn't trust leadership to.

After leading multiple incursions into Hound warehouses to find remnents of this plot line, he found himself getting closer and closer to the evil that would drive him more into the conflict. He found he had become good friends with Ishiko, and when given the chance to protect her at a meeting he was glad that she wasn't leaving alone - as he feared that the meeting would be more dangerous than it seemed.

Leaving a mark on the meeting location, he observed the terrible truth, it would be a disaster. The room exploded right before his eyes, and in horror he saw bodies fly all over. Yelling for Ishiko to follow, they ran in to find all of their bodies laying about in the meeting room. With just a word, a secondary explosion made the world go black.

The group would wake up together in the church in Shadow, and Jarek knew that this had to end. Now. He and the group had gained the information that the leader of the Hounds was on Dagger Pass - and he would bring the leader down.

Quering the group and attempting to bolster them to battle, they seemed uneasy and unwilling to jump into battle. Only Ishiko, his friend stood by his side and agreed without hesitation. Together and waiting for the others he and Ishiko rode into the pass to see if the intelligence was correct.

After battling a few soldiers, he saw his prize. This fiend and killer. Jarek reared up his horse and charged into the evil Hound and her enterage. After a short battle, he found himself quickly overwhelmed and seemingly alone...

As he fell from his horse, he looked around trying to figure out what had happened. It was too late.

Everything went dark. Dark dark. He felt his soul getting ripped and losing control. Realizing that his soul was not moving as it had in the past - he would find himself suffering, in stasis.

Time would pass, an unknown amount of time - before finally, for some reason, the light arose - and he found himself on to Helm - once more - forever.

Props to Jarek btw...

a hero's death, a blighted return, and a lot of good drama.

Awesome write ups, they really make me happy we were able to tell a good story together.
