In a devastating explosion heard across the continent the fabled and storied Merchant Exchange and Horse Racing parlor were destroyed.

Details are scant in rumors, but be it an attack, sabotage, or an accident of epic proportions but what is known is that the entire complex was leveled, and most of the Dragoons (the mercenary force headquartered there) were killed.

Dignitaries from cities across the continent denied knowledge and culpability for the incident, expressed their sympathy for the families of the lost, and spoke highly of the character of Dougan Frost, the commander of the Dragoons.

What this spells for the realm is unknown. Power in the north is delicate and balanced on a decades old accord, a cold war, and the fact that no one decided to strike first.
