Hey Guys Smile

For those of you who have been involved in N's awesome once in a lifetime plots, the plottage won't be ending when hers wraps up this weekend I believe. I'll running numerous things over the next few months so wanted to lay the ground work here to give people time. Please be aware that I'm still looking for a job and should I find one, I'll probably vanish, for that I apologize ahead of time.

Groundrules

PK is allowed, but should be a last resort. The fates will not look kindly on those who abuse it as it will eject people from plots at certain times. While pk mail isn't required, I'd HIGHLY suggest doing it. It could aid you if I know what is going on.

Alting isn't allowed, I'll only consider an alt if your original is playerkilled. Plots will be building off each other for a big plot mid year. I'd highly suggest figuring out the character you want so it can make sense. That does not mean you can't alt, feel free, it means your alt won't be considered for plot information.

Currently the mud is very heavily favored towards evil. Good will receive perks in the way of bonuses to their role, some divine intervention etc.

RP of alignment - I will be keeping track of character concepts so it is very important to keep me aware of concepts that seem odd, anything is game for the most part, but if you're say LG Holy Paladin trying to hang with Shades, it'll be an issue and the world will react accordingly.

Playtimes will vary, but the following is times I'll try to include.

Sunday - Thursday
10amCST - 2-4PM CST
9PM CST - 11-12AMCST

Friday and Saturday will vary according to my gf's work schedule. I'm not trying to live on the mud as I have before, but do want to tell stories, so will try to be consistent. If these times don't work for me, I'll post shortly after I begin plotage.

Lastly, should you feel out of the loop or not included by characters, that is normal IMO. Certain characters will tell certain characters etc, please though don't feel bad about mailing me and saying hey I'm lost, need help. I'll try to find a way to make this happen.

I'm down to join on Undelhorn, I'm placing Hadyn on the back burner because Undelhorn needs that level 50 baby and I don't want to be tempted. ICly Haydn will be away at a Gnomish conference while the plot is active.

Summary of Undelhorn:

He is a Lawful Good character who follows the Dragon God Bahamut. Lore-wise Bahamut is probably dead in SG, killed in the Godswar or something similar as they aren't in the game. I roleplay it as if the Dragon Gods are of a different pantheon completely or are only worshiped and known by dragons.

Undelhorn only knows about the Dragon Gods because he received a vision from Bahamut after his crest fell from the sky and hit him on the head knocking him out cold. In this vision he saw the dwarf fortress in the Echo Mountains restored and turned into a major dwarven city in exchange for his worship of the Dragon God who had a personal vault and temple in the city. After that he spoke to Arkhon Bloodscale and the gold dragon in the Tsarven Empire who told him magic was stolen by the man goddess Mystra from Bahamut after she was tricked by Tiamat, the Dragon God of Chaos and Evil. Due to this he doesn't trust magic and believes that to use it is a sin. At this time he counts for magical crafting as a prohibited skill just like magic, but will use and accept artifacts or quest items as they are gifts from the Dragon god.

He has a long military career within the dwarven military commanded by the dwarven king from their mountain home, Barak Morndin, and is personally responsible for funding the rebuilding of Kinaro after the Skullbreaker clan and Minotaur sacked it around 720SG killing everyone in the outpost except for Undelhorn who barely escaped. After the attack he was re-deployed to the Underdark while they rebuilt and he had been there since, an IC period of around 10 years or however long 3 RL years is. He was thought to have been fully dead as his unit returned mid-way through that absence reporting that he had fallen into a chasm in the underdark.

That was until recently when the tremors that collapsed the ground around the Shadowgate east of Shadow opened up a chasm that led to the surface in the Kilkaen Forest. His armor, shield, and axe were destroyed in the underground quakes which shattered his adamantium shell and destroyed the rest of his possessions. Once on the surface he walked stark naked to Kinaro where he collected some clothing and made a new set of armor, shield and axe.

This is about where we pick up with him. He contacted Torm about leading a unit to sack Tonovi, but was turned away only to be invited later by a group of adventurers to sack the city and free some slaves. He also watch Lathander raise one of his priestesses from the dead recently, but wasn't at all shocked. Code-wise, and therefore SG wise, he is godless and so he has seen the wall of souls a few times and been pushed to convert to a real god by Kelemvor but he remains a follower of Bahamut which is why he thinks he is being resurrected even though his soul has been hung on the wall more than once already.

In fact he isn't really all that shocked by the actions of the gods currently nor does he really care since Bahamut isn't directly involved. He thinks it is probably because the current events have little to do with dragons, but having heard about the god dragon in the Tsarven Empire take to the skies he is becoming increasingly interested in them which is why he escorted the Paladins of Helm to the Temple of Lathander.

Undelhorn could probably be convinced ICly that Bahamut is not real, but only one person has ever tried and he has near max Wisdom so breaking his will would be near impossible. If anything I could see him being convinced that Bahamut is fake, but then he would assume all the gods are fake and just remain godless. Which I kind of like as well because being godless puts the game into hard mode code-wise which is pretty cool if not painful at times... which is why he is a badass.

Und Smile That is your new nickname, because I don't wish to type out Undelhorn everytime. haha...

Anyway, thank you for the post. I truly need time to wrap my mind around all that and figure out how the world might react to it. However, I do think a lot can be learned by the post in general. When I ask for info about characters, Und got it. It isn't mechanical, but personality, background, etc. I can see all your stats, etc when you're logged in. I might know nothing about your character IG except background, pcnotes and notes other imms might have added, which doesn't happen much anymore, too few of us.

So please if you wanna tell me about your character for plottage tell me quirks, etc. If it is something you want hidden, please just mail me ig or at kassius.sgmud@gmail.com.

Und is fine or Horn has been catching on.

Yeah nothing hidden. The only other thing I can think of is when I first rolled him up I tried to make him as close to the Dwarven Defender class from D&D 3.5, but now there is the Immortal Shield Prestige so I'm trying to head that direction.

Militarily I use the title Defender like a knight would use Sir and my unit would be more of a dwarven special forces unit that act like commandos and essentially movable walls.

I'll be on in a bit I leave work in around 10 minutes.

hey guys!

First plot has been posted and is for lowbies Smile This one will allow alting if people want to try new deities/plots. I'm going to try and build off things. I will be setting hard caps for certain plots so rushing to 50 is fine, but will cause you to miss some stories if you start fresh now. Some plots will allow scaling down and others won't.
