A few updates from today.
1. Welcome Yves as an Overseer for the mud. He has been instrumental in helping me learn code outside of Saide and Ares on facebook or Lujke. We have a great staff of people willing to help.
2. Divine Shield is now working completely thanks to a team effort. Yves helped get Lord Shadow to work as there was some issues I couldn't fix, because of it having two names and he took a hammer to the demonic code creatures! Thanks GIA for writing them!
3. Helpfile for lethal strikes has been updated to be clearer. There is more on the way as we can fix things.
4. Nuwisha and Eris are hard at work learning to code, doing plots and helping where they can. We are moving along pretty quickly, but it'll take some time. There will be some updates within the next 2 weeks on how the new RP focused will work. The staff is discussing currently and we will get you some more focused ideas/thoughts/guidelines soon. Please bear with us.

Unarmored Defense Update
All of this is pluses to AC.
Level 1-6 was 4 and it is now 1.
Level 7 -13 was 5 and is now 2
Level 14 -20 was 6 and is now 3
Level 21 - 27 was 8 and is now 4
Level 28-50 was 9 and is now 5.
Eventually I want to find a way to give single classes above level 21 or 31 more compared to characters who just take 10 levels for the perk. However, I've got so much on my plate currently that is a little advance for me and I'm not sure if I'll have time to figure it out. until then this should help AC a little, hopefully it keeps monks/barbarian's from being in the 100s AC wise.

Hey Guys,
Merc's were turned down some today. You will probably notice this, but we will see where it goes. My concern is low levels so if anyone notices anything weird please LOG the battle and PM it to me here or mail kassius.sgmud@gmail.com. That way we can ensure that its working for low levels too.
Thaco and Damage were turned down considerably. So they won't be powerhouses and be able to carry you anymore. They might actually miss on occasion, but I doubt it.
Lastly, they no longer have use of disarm as it was allowing people to just beat the hell out of melee wielding mobs.
Please do NOT freak out. This is something that we will be adjusting as we go.

Godsfavor should have specific god messages for all the current deities.
I wanted to think Cedric for helping with them. He did a majority of the new ones. Jarmila was done by N, so thanks N!. A few of the ones we had been waiting on are altered ones from previous deities so they may seem very familiar.
If you notice anything odd like the incorrect deity showing up etc. Let me know and I can alter when I have time.
New messages may come in down the road as Cedric was still working on some, but my time to code is growing shorter and I wanted to get this project finished.

Heylo,
Fellow SGers. I've been playing a bard and noticed that there was a bug in preparing a list that allowed someone to not use a instrument to prepare spells. It was more streamlined and felt a bit better considering that not all bards would be musicians. They could be story-tellers, painters etc. So in considering this and discussing with Yves, I made the choice to alter the bard class.
NO longer is a instrument required to memorize spells. The message that says You pick up blah instrument and blah blah to memorize spells is gone. It is now you concentrate and while bowing your head(default message for memorizing spells).
This will be tested by myself and another wiz who are testing a few different hybrid classes to see how they handle stuff. Hopefully the mud enjoys this change and it doesn't unbalance things too much.
IF anyone has any ideas for how to streamline mages a little better too I'm open to consideration as I feel pretty good about where we stand now.
Warlocks - no prepare
Bard/Sorcerer - no items required
Psions/Psywarior - no items required
Paladin/Cleric/Ranger - symbol required, but I could alter that if enough people thought it made sense. I can see a symbol being required, but I can also come up with a scenario where it isn't required.
druid - nothing required
mage - book required - I'm open to thoughts here

Bard's Rally now has color codes of RESET CYAN when it wears off. Thanks to Kalliope for recommending this. For anyone playing a bard, please let me know if this isn't noticeable as it was pretty bad. I can easily switch out the color.
Chakit and his wares have added the third tier three ring.
Ring of Stealth based off Chameleon as the animal for a +6 to Stealth

Help domains *classes has been updated to reflect a few domains, which had fallen out of the list.
Caverns
Illusion
Strength
The listing of those spells should be in that help file now.
