I would post this on the psion board, but the psion board is full. To stay alive Psions have a large number of spells with super short durations that need constant recasting. And in my opinion its rather ridiculous. Psions don't get a bunch of protective creatures and stoneskin like mages and sorcerers or bunch of protective creatures and moderate defenses and health like clerics.

And the constant recasting isn't just an extremely frustrating hassle it actually lowers a Psions level equivalency lot due to the huge danger of you know constantly recasting.

I think the solution though would be to increase the effet of slippery caster feat because, well I didn't even notice the effect. For a feat I expect it to make my concealing amorpha last as long as my thickskin.

Second I ask a quick look over the different kinds of psions and give boost to duration as need. For instance, minor prescience and especially animal affinity. Despite being the two core spells for the ego Psion they last for a very short time.

P.S. I know that all spell casters have to recast but the sheer 'volume' of spells for a psion is ludicrous.

Vigor, animal affinity, minor prescience, energy retort, concealing amorpha, thick skin and occasionally creation in emergencies.

And thats just the recasting needed to fight regular non-hard encounters.

With say a mage you can get by really with just creatures and scorching burst. Though Thickskin is great to have.

So there are too many defensive psion spells and to fix this more should be added?

Actually I just asked that some of the more crucial ones have their duration extended so psions don't have to spend so much time recasting the defensive spells as I find the amount of time being spent on recasting ludicrous.

So the spells have been painstakingly balanced, checked, rechecked for uniformity with similar spell.

Can't increase duration without reducing effectiveness. Because balance.

You'll find this affects you more as a lowbie (and well, you're not that powerful so that's fair enough). Eg/ if a feat doubles a duration and it has a tiny duration to begin with, it's still going to be fairly tiny. When you get bigger and the duration is moderate, it'll be far more of a bonus.

If there's specific spells you think are out of line, feel free to bugreport, avmail or mail me about them; though I will forewarn you I am limited in my knowledge of the psion class, so it may not be one I'm familiar with enough to mess with right now.
