Happy July, everyone! I just wanted to give you guys a heads-up as to what’s going on. The past couple of weeks have been some pretty tough ones for the SG staff as a whole thanks to an issue that came to light. It’s not my place to comment on it (I’ll leave that to the higher-ranking staff should they wish to do so), but if you’ve noticed fewer immortal faces on the lines lately, there’s a good chance that this is why. The good news is that it looks like we might be seeing a resolution soon. The bad news is that “soon” might still be some weeks off, and I can’t return to running plots until we’ve seen one, even though I’d originally planned to be back by this point.

I should also mention that if the resolution turns out to be a poor one, my break will most likely be permanent. Should this be the case, those players still involved in some of my outstanding plots don’t need to worry too much - I’ve made sure to keep detailed notes on each of them accessible to all immortals, so it’s possible that someone else may pick up on them should they be able to. That being said (I’m sure that sounded more grim than necessary), I’m still optimistic that things can be worked out neatly, so don’t go into panic mode just yet.

A brief note in line with Brando's post above, unfortunately myself and a few other coders also feel that we need to step down until otherwise advised and/or circumstances are resolved. I have made a concerted effort over the past few weeks to get enough of the warlock class complete for it to be open to play before doing so; everything except the glaive shape should now be installed and the class has been opened to general access tonight. Please enjoy in my absence and if any issues arise, direct through general channels (lines/bugreport) for a more direct resolution. Thanks all, be good!

Plans for increasing the player base continue unchanged.

Phase 1 is approximately halfway complete. We still need volunteers to write and review a companion player interaction guide (comparable to the mechanics guide already laid out). Mudmail me if you are interested.

Everyone who wants to help guide our new crop of players is more than welcome. We are going to need all the help we can get to push up their RP to SG standards.

The only thing you need to want is more players. If you're cool with more players, you can help.

If you don't want more players then... well... remind me to pkill you sometime. Smile
