Maximum and minimal word limit then. I at least find a 'like' without context to be the second most most frustratingly useless thing next to a 'dislike' without context.

How will you counter the effect of a group of say 3 people who know each other IRL and always "like" each others' RP all the time?

I actually had an idea for tracking RP time by tracking all the times your character hears a 'say' by another player...

Well, pick a system, and there's a way to abuse it, there's no silver bullet.

But I suppose you could have a count of likes from unique users (or unique accounts) with at least 1 day of play time. For example: if there was a 3-some just liking each other without interacting with any other players, you would see 3 players with 1 bazillion likes each from exactly 2 other accounts.

Also it lets you see who has the most unique interactions that got a RP like. So you really could see who is getting out there to meet the new people.

Anyways just a thought Smile

@Cyric I don't see that as a problem as the point is to create a system to allow players to gauge themselves and others. Its not a competition.

As soon as you assign points to something, it becomes a competition.

I think we track two things, number of rp 'likes' and number of unique rp 'likers'. This will encourage people to get out and interact with others aside from their own little circle. It hurts people who play loners but whatever.

My research into 'loners' like Batman, The Green Arrow and Wolverine, is that loners rarely ever are alone anyway.

First off, I'm sorry.

I've not had as much time to deal with this problem as it deserves.

My summers are far busier than the rest of the year for me, and I've had far more demands on my job than in previous years, and I apologize that I wasn't able to step up and give far more attention than I have.

I have to say I'm saddened by what happened, and I was trying in earlier months to talk with Tsera, but things need to proceed.

I'm not sure what more I can or should discuss about this. In the past we've not discussed punishments past Law and the affected parties.

I'd like to discuss this further, and I'll have to check back to this thread.

I believe its safe to assume Garret prefers using the carrot to using the stick.

Garrett really!

Now someone has to take the leadership in the game! You imms have problems, the game is having problems: every few hours it's rebooting and it's lagging badly when it's up. Take the leadership or give it to someone else if you don't have the time. This will kill the mud. I'm already looking for other options, and I'm not surprised if others are too. You are the top boss, you should do something. I'm sorry to tell you this, but how you do this now is not good at all!

Yes, sorry. So the situation is now that there's other imms not logging into the game because of another imm's possible actions. And as you said you have tried to contact her, but without luck. Now for me it feels that this has been taking too long, so I suggest to make an action and give the signal to others that cheating is not allowed. One way would be to place the status of the imm on hold until the situation has been resolved.

So there's that problem, and now there's also problem with the game lagging badly and without imms this cannot be solved. So the problems starts to grow. I've avmailed about the lags maybe one or two weeks ago, but I haven't got any response for it, so naturally I feel no one is taking care of these. Maybe related with the lags or maybe not, but I have been also disconnected from the gameso that I haven't been able to reconnect. Since my connection works, it has to be something with the game or the server itself. What this has caused is that my char has been moved to the for like 10 hours. So when I log in next time, I can see I reconnect and this has then cause that my gear has been wiped. And without imms I cannot get them back. And since the backups are protected for 12 hours, it's most likely that the gear cannot be replace from the backups. This is very frustrating.

In my opinion something has to be done that we get the imms coming back and starting again to run the game and solve problems. I'm sorry I wasn't earlier so constructive, I was frustrated, my bad.

Garrett, my suggestion is to place Ts in a holding tank until you can get in touch with her and discuss the situation. Dropping her a mud mail and waiting for her response should be enough. That resolves the immediate issue and will allow everyone to move forward. When/if Ts makes a return, there can be additional discussions and decisions etc, but currently we need a way to move forward.

Just to clarify, the lag problem was at server level, and needed intervention by Firedragon - it wasn't anything the regular imm staff could do anything about. Claws crossed, it seems better this morning.

Well in line with keeping things constructive, to build a rabbit hutch first you Create the legs. You can make your hutch as tall as you like, but remember that if you're putting it outside, you want to keep it about 4 feet (1.2 m) off of the ground to protect the rabbits from predators. Cut the 2x4 lumber to your preferred length... oh wait wrong type of constructive. Ehh.. I vote in agreement with Cyric.
