Now that item loss is no longer an issue I think the gnomes and shifters should be removed and the sell value of items increased mud wide. That way to repair their equipment whe it breaks people will have to go dungeon delving for items.
This suggestion is to give people incentive to go back into dungeons. _________________ PM me in the forum here when you want me on to RP or dungeon dive. The forum will automatically notify me by e-mail. Then my e-mail will send me a text message. Then I will get on likely within minutes. |

I think the shifters and gnomes still serve a purpose as a way for people to acquire gear. This is especially true during low-population periods or when you find your character doesn't have quite so many allies to call on for help going to the places to find level-appropriate gear. |

This is the intent in maintaining them at this point - particularly for those who travel solo for whatever reason (race, character nature, timezone, overall mud alignment swings) or those who have that extra playtime to put into high-turnover gear - given token items can't be repaired. For your standard player, odds are dungeon gear is a lot more feasible and they may only target token gear for a few key pieces.
We're looking at adding more dungeon and/or boss-type gear in the near future to further allow for that side of the fence. |
