For any player currently returning or considering this class. I'd highly like to suggest your consider the following.

Do performances, tell stories, have information on history or something.. ACT bardic.... hahah... I will be holding this class to a VERY high standard as I plan on extending a TON of influence to it and I'm super impressed with what N did.

I'm looking for a few players to take up library spots around the realm. I need a list of libraries mailed to me or pmed, nothing in the open or any place that looks like a library, but doesn't act like it.

You might get rejected if say your a bard of Cyric trying to control Seneca's library..

Currently I'm going to limit 2-3 per library unless the code already limits it. I'm hoping to setup a post with each PUBLIC library and who the librarian is and their ranking that would be public knowledge.

I have an idea that ties in neatly with this one:

City archives:

This is open to anyone with the academic skill really. I see a lot of history being forgotten and would like to suggest having a position as City Historian open to players. The idea would be to record any major event in the area and add this to a list that can be read by others. Could be in the form of a book, or, more preferably, a City File similar to backgrounds. Players and imms could mail the info to the librarian who would add it to a file, which others could then read. Wouldn't have to be elaborate. Sometimes a simple "what/when/wo" might suffice. I personally prefer an easily accessible "research shadow" option over a book for this particular job.

Example: SG 730: Klauth attacked Shadow. 120 dead, including "notable npc" several buildings destroyed. The dragon was opposed by "named adventurer" who was promptly eaten.

Sadhara has been a very active bard, and even came up with a dance (more of a dancer than a singer) on the spot to try and help beloved friends. Of course, it didn't save right, and now I have to rewrite it.... and she's constantly doing research and delving through lore. Right now, she's investigating the Alliance of Light, and working on a paper on dryads. Hopefully, she'll be able to research enough to write books on the entire history of Shadowgate. A lot of cool events only exist in the minds of some characters right now.

As for libraries, she's going to multi class into a cleric soon, so if the Temple of Oghma and/or the library in Tabor get turned into real libraries (I think the Oghma one could be for Oghmans only. Maybe a secret room, and clerics whisper the secret to Oghmans like the townsperson who gives you a map in Offestry), she would gladly take one or both of those, if allowed. That would also work to keep her local so that she can interact and roleplay with new players. But right now, I think Shadow is the best library for her. Seneca is great, and I'm looking forward to the Bard Academy, but it's not in an area she can walk casually in just quite yet.
