Hi all, I would like to start a bit of a project. My goal is to try to create a list of author credits for the many different areas, features, guilds, plots, and player crews (guilds, adventuring groups, parties, etc.).

We all have favorite memories of some of favorite adventures and parties, and I would love to have a thread where we can share a few. Please feel free to share as you see fit!

The following is based upon Vethor's backstory in the old Daggerdale thieves guild, various player backgrounds, extant guild boards, and scouring code in general. The "plague" referenced in Vethor's history is a mass-ridding that occurred when multi-classing was added to the mud (at least that's what I remember from a hm line discussion many years ago.) I tried to use the plague as a point of reference in dating the first generation of guilds with the second generation of guilds. Most players that are still available to age date to 1997, while Bannic is 1996, and Tuco is 1995. I'm assuming that Tuco was a wiz alt and was protected from the wipe. An interesting side note, Tuco was created on November 11, 1995; the IG year on that date was 616 SG.

Welcome brave adventurer.
Ahead of you lies the Drow city of Underdark. Once again the Drow have arisen in power to attempt to enslave all races throughout the lands. They care not if you are good or evil...they hate all surface dwelling races and 90% of the non-surface dwellers...so I am confident this includes you. The Drow have no morals and stoop to the lowest of tricks to achieve their goals. This time around they have managed to awaken their age old champion Grimtooth, The master assassin to aid in their plight. And rumours have come that they are attempting to free the demonqueen Lloth to aid them in their battle. Be warned...once you enter the city you may get trapped in difficult situations. But since they have showered me with gold, I have delivered many items and artifacts of great power to them. Perhaps if anything, you can obtain some of these items for your own twisted use. And maybe a groupof champions will arise who can defeat them at their own game.

On another note...this area was designed as an adventure, not some xp hack and slash area. I suggest being prepared and well equipped before venturing deeper. Comments, questions, suggestions, gripes and hopefully tales of success can be posted here.

Have fun, don't die, good luck and no whining!

Daoine'yndaar as you may know it is actually a player house, so doesn't really need to be noted as an imm code zone.

The real Daoine'yndaar isn't actually in the game (yet), its name was adopted by a player group Smile It's right at the bottom of my to-do list so whether it ever even happens or not, we'll see...
