I've put in the ability to add notes to your maps.
You can only add a note relating to the room you are currently in. Each note has a 2 character title, which then appears on your map, in place of the 'Rm', and a longer string of text which you can read back whenever you like.
So, if you are in a room with a healer and you want to keep track of where it is, you can do:
'map note add h1 This is the healer'
h1 would then appear on your map, and
'map note read h1' would get the response:
This is the healer
Have fun with it ... let me know about any issues or questions _________________ Bears don't dig on dancing

Another new feature:
You can now 'map route to [title]'
or 'map route from [title1] to [title2]'
The first will give you a list of directions from your current position to one of your notes (specified by the title).
The second will give a list of directions between two notes.
Hopefully the feature will be handy for everyone, but it's particularly intended to make the maps helpful for those who can't use the visual map display due to client issues or visual impairments.
I haven't had chance to do a lot of testing yet, so consider it an 'alpha' feature for now.

Maps were out of action for a while, but they are back, with some bug fixes and additions!
The main bug fix is one that was causing it to bork if you built a map that was too wide (east-west) to be displayed on your screen. I hope that it will now correctly trim the display and show as much of your map as you can see, with you location as central as possible.
The main addition is an <expand> option, that will give you the option of expanding your map to cope with any location clashes you encounter - those places where varying exit distances cause a problem with more than one room seeming to be in the same location.
As usual, it's not very well tested yet, so please try it out and give me any feedback about how you get on with it. I'm open to suggestions and ideas, though given the complexity of the code, I can't make any guarantees about being able to implement them. _________________ Bears don't dig on dancing
